The larvae of moths ( Lepidoptera), can gnaw at your textiles. Protein -containing fibers such as wool, leather, fur and feathers have their preference. Vegetable (cotton, linen) or synthetic fibers contain no protein and they don’t lusts them.


mottenThe smell of laurel, cedar or lavender dispels moths. Moths (and their larvae) can be just as mites badly appreciate sunlight. More light means less chance of breeding.

Late summer and early fall, the eggs are laid. Clean in that period closets and extra storage areas with a little vinegar.

Catch them in a cardboard box with a tuft of untreated wool in the closet. Make herein holes of about two cm. Empty every week the trap and change the dressing.
