Let ants (Formicidae) alone if they do not really bother. Clear away food, especially sweets.
Copper (wire, coins) is a barrier for ants.

They do not like chalk, baby powder, coffee, or strong scents of sage, rosemary, chives, marjoram, lovage, basil, mint, tansy, oregano, garlic (like snails), cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper and onion.

Put a pot of garden soil on the nest. They will install in there. After 2 weeks you do that way.
Boiling water is deadly. Yeast with sweetness too.
